My Career
I built my first website when I was 15. The website was called aidmymom.com and was in response to her diagnosis of brain cancer. I wanted to find a way to help, so I turned to what I knew best, technology. This was the first time in my life that I realized that I had powers that could be used for good. From that moment I decided that I needed to grow these powers and cultivate the skills to really make a difference in the world.
I took all the advanced art courses that I could and practiced different mediums of art on a regular basis. My first try at college was right out of highschool and a lot of life's trials and tribulations kept me distracted and off task but I never lost my drive to do what I loved most. So when Covid-19 shut the world down I decided to go back to school. I had a whole new focus and nothing was going to stop me this time.
Since starting back in school my skills have grown exponentially and I have worked hard at my craft. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in March 2022 with a degree in Interactive Multimedia and in the same week started a job as the Marketing Coordinator for Smart Service. I have also done many freelance jobs and continue to hone my craft on a daily basis.
My Passion
My skills and my passion started to develop at a very young age. My dad was a computer analyst so I had access to computers before my friends really knew what they were (yes, im old). I have experienced floppy disks, ms-dos, and the amazing 32-bit Windows 95.
For me, digital media is more than just a job. It’s a way of life. From the time I first discovered graphic design and web development, I knew that I had found my calling. Over the years, that passion has only grown stronger, and now I wake up every day excited to use my skills to make a difference in the world. I believe that every project I take on is an opportunity to create something truly special, something that will inspire and engage people in a meaningful way.
I have a deep passion for crafting unique and captivating content that resonates with audiences. I am driven by a commitment to excellence in everything I do, and my goal is to help my clients achieve their vision. My Alter Ego
Just like Superman has Clark Kent, this digital superhero has Stephen Young. When I am not saving the world from digital disaster I am spending time with my wife and two daughters. We love to travel and spend time outdoors. Taking long hikes, going to the dog park with our little Pug named Buttercup, and booking a campsite are just a few of our favorite things. Family movie night is also a major staple in our household, but you better not forget the snacks!

In college, I designed, prototyped, and developed multiple mobile applications. I also learned a lot about layout, color schemes, branding, storyboarding, and more.
Digital Marketing
A lot of my Digital Marketing skills grew when I held the position of Marketing Coordinator for Smart Service. I managed their blog, SEO, Social Media, and Email Marketing Campaigns, and more.
Video Production
Some of my recent Video Production experience includes making a few product videos for a dental CAD/CAM company called Starcona. Even with a short deadline the videos turned out great!
